Daniel James "DJ" Tamer Scholarship Fund
 In honor of D.J.'s life and his distinguished academic success, a scholarship fund has been created that will annually help provide financial support for one extremely qualified student from Lawrence North High School to attend an accredited university or college of their choice.

March, 2011—It's March Madness time again. Submit your picks by St. Patrick's Day, March 17th, Thursday, to participate. Play-in games are still not included in the scoring. 2011 Scholarship Fund Recipient - Joshua Roche
2011 Lawrence North High School graduate, Joshua Roche, has been awarded the fifth Daniel James "DJ" Tamer scholarship, receiving $2,000. He will attend Indiana University in the fall and join the track team.
In addition to his academic achievement, Josh lettered thrice in cross country and four times in track & field, won numerous team awards, was thus far named All-State in track his sophomore and junior years, was named All-State Honorable Mention in cross country his senior year and contributed to a third place team finish. He is currently the Lawrence North record holder in the 800 meter dash (1:53:52).

 The next time you drive by a 7-Eleven, we encourage you to stop in and grab a nice, brain-freezin' Slurpee. While D.J. almost daily downed a 44 oz. Coke Slurpee, we're sure he wouldn't mind you enjoying any size or flavor.
